Johnny Yang

Johnny Yang is a pianist with nearly a decade of experience, holding consistent Superior ratings across Guild and Federation examinations and studied through Level 10 of the Royal Conservatory program.

Alongside his piano work, Johnny has gained six years of percussion experience performing with Freedom High School's Symphonic Winds, Jazz 1, Drumline, and Percussion ensembles. Beyond school, he performs with the Hunters Creek Community Jazz Band and has played with the Encore Performing Arts Wind Band.

For Johnny, teaching is the other half of music. He believes in strong technical foundations without losing sight of the emotional bigger picture and aims to help every student find their own honest voice at the instrument.
